A successful piece of architecture is often regarded as a space where someone feels at ease and comfortable, so much so that it improves society as a whole. Although the ultimate goal is create an environment feels simple, the process behind it often is not.
Important areas such as problem solving, collaboration, inventing products that address needs, and finding more efficient more workflows with technology are integral when designing the built environment. To celebrate the building research, materials, and technologies that are transfomring the field, ARCHITECT has announced its ninth annual R+D Awards.
The awards welcome all types of entries, from engineers, manufacturers, and students. Past winners have included small and large firms, individuals, academics, and fabricators. The products they have entered range from construction strategies, building systems and details, and digital tools, amongst others.
