2008 Student Awards Program

Who: The American Society of Landscape Architects, Washington, D.C.

When: Student entry forms are due May 9, and submissions must be received by May 23.

How: The Call for Entries is available online at www.asla.org/awards/2008/rules_entries.

What: The awards honor the best in landscape architecture from around the globe. Six categories are featured: General Design, Residential Design, Analysis and Planning, Research, Communications and The Landmark Award. The award also features a Student Collaboration category and Student Community Service Awards. Student recipients will receive complimentary registration to the 2008 annual ASLA meeting Oct. 3-7 in Philadelphia.

Greensite Project Of The Year

Who: Concrete Construction and The Concrete Producer magazines

When: Entries are due Friday, April 18.

How: Visit www.concreteconstruction.net or www.theconcreteproducer.com for an entry form.

What: In addition to the materials used, selection criteria will be based on the contributions of producer and contractor to the sustainability of the entire project. Winners will be selected in 10 categories and receive coverage in Concrete Construction and The Concrete Producer, as well as recognition at the Greensite exhibit at World of Concrete 2009 in Las Vegas.
