During ARCHITECT Live at the 2013 AIA National Convention in Denver, Tricia Stuth, AIA, and Matthew Lyle, AIA, discuss the process of building the New Norris House. This single family home in Norris, Tenn., improves on a 1933 Tennessee Valley Authority experiment in sustainable living. The affordable home, designed and built by students and faculty at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville College of Architecture and Design, was named a 2013 COTE Top Ten project for its sustainable attributes by the American Institute of Architects' Committee on the Environment (COTE), one of the green building industry's most prestigious awards.
